1. Who We Are
SEO Human Review is an independent SEO consulting service operated by Gael Balouek (Balouek Digital Consulting OÜ), based in Harju maakond, Tallinn, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 (Estonia).
For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact hello@gaelbalouek.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the minimum data needed to deliver the service and run this website:
- Contact and booking data — name, email address, and any details you share when booking a consultation via Calendly or emailing us directly.
- Business information — your website URL, your current SEO provider's name (if relevant to the review), and any documents, reports, or access credentials you choose to share with us to complete your review.
- Website usage data — collected automatically via Google Analytics when you browse this site (see "Cookies" below).
- Payment information — processed by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details ourselves.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To schedule, prepare for, and deliver your Foundations Review or Business Review.
- To communicate with you about your booking, your report, and your debrief call.
- To send you the invoice and process payment for the service.
- To understand how visitors use this website, so we can improve it.
- To comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes beyond direct communication about the service you've requested.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — processing your booking and business information is necessary to deliver the service you've purchased.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics, where required.
- Legitimate interest — for basic website analytics and responding to enquiries.
- Legal obligation — for retaining invoices and accounting records.
5. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run this business. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Calendly — for scheduling consultation calls. Calendly processes your name, email, and scheduling details. Calendly's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics — for understanding website traffic and usage. Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting provider — Hostinger stores the website and any data submitted through it.
6. Cookies
This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, general location). These cookies do not identify you personally. Calendly may also set cookies when you use the booking widget.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site function (e.g., the Calendly booking widget).
7. Client Business Data (Business Review Tier)
The Business Review requires access to your Google Search Console, Analytics, and conversion data. This access is:
- Requested only with your explicit permission, granted directly by you through Google's own account-sharing tools.
- Used solely to prepare your independent review.
- Never shared with your current SEO provider or any third party without your consent.
- Revocable by you at any time — you control access to your own accounts and can remove it as soon as the review is complete.
8. Data Retention
We retain booking and business data for as long as necessary to deliver the service and meet our legal/accounting obligations. Reports and working documents related to your review are retained at least 1 year after delivery.
9. Data Security & Confidentiality
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including restricting access to your business information to Gael Balouek personally — no team, no subcontractors, no outsourcing. Your review, your data, and your identity as a client are treated as confidential by default and are never disclosed without your permission.
10. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party services we use (including Google Analytics and Calendly) may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where this occurs, these providers rely on their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) to ensure your data remains protected.
11. Your Rights
If the UK/EU GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data, where legally possible.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@gaelbalouek.com.
12. Children's Privacy
This service is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under the age of 16.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to review this page periodically.
